Our Mission

The Women's Shakespeare Company desires not only to provide the female acting community with a greater number of strong roles, but also to give women a finer opportunity to perform roles that are rarely open to them in the professional arena. In doing so, the company hopes to transcend the common limitations placed on both race and gender in theatre.
